Gingerbread Hanok
By Studio Luz
Studio Luz Architects utilized the BSA gingerbread competition as an opportunity to learn more about the traditional architecture from one of our coworkers' home country . The Korean Hanok is a traditional home known for its open floorplan and for being environmentally-friendly in the use of materials and climate control. With our Korean colleague Jason as the lead designer, Ignacio as the lead builder, and the help of two amazing 7 years old girls, SLA built the gingerbread Hanok with a very festive attitude and began the Thanksgiving celebrations as a team before leaving for the well deserved long weekend with their families.
