Join us for a panel discussion of architects and public leaders who will share innovative approaches to creating, developing, and financing feasible "missing middle" housing solutions.

The often discussed "missing middle" consists of elusive housing that is affordable for households whose incomes are too high for subsidized housing, but are priced out by market rent or homeownership options, as well as mid-rise buildings larger than a triple decker but smaller than a double-loaded podium building.

Learn about projects across New England designed by local architects, some of which are also featured in The State of Housing Design 2023, a first-of-its-kind book by the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies that reviews national trends, ideas, and critical issues as they relate to multi-family architecture and urban design.

Attendees will have the chance to ask questions, network with peers, and leave with a deeper understanding of how thoughtful design and strategic financing can address housing shortages and improve community living.
