Event Description

Often in high end custom residential renovations, it is assumed that the old will be removed and design will start with a blank slate. While this opens a myriad of options for design, this approach does not take into consideration the impact on the environment, embodied carbon of the elements currently in the space to be renovated, logistics for removal of items from a space, as well as the overall cost both for purchase of new items as well as disposal of old things. CBT Architects along with the builder, Sea-Dar Construction, and vendor/supplier, Divine Design, collaborated with the homeowners at 10 Farnsworth Unit 2A/2B, to see if we could reuse and/or repurpose multiple items currently in place in order to achieve a fresh new design which also is sustainably sourced.
