Helicon Design Group is a small, multi-disciplinary studio in Boston's Downtown Crossing with 30 years of practice at a wide scale of project types and sizes… all forward-looking and with an emphasis on contemporary design solutions. We are now interviewing architects and interior architects with a minimum 5-years experience to work on residential, daycare, hospitality, corporate interiors, and adaptive re-use commercial projects. Professional license or on track to complete, is preferred.

Our candidates should have excellent team-working and client relationship skills. Job Captain-Project Manager responsibilities will include team production coordination, consultant coordination, design and construction documents and construction field review. Personal transportation is preferred. All Helicon architects and Project Managers are hired to grow as our representatives and help build relationships into the future. Team members are immersed and acquire full practice experience on all phases of design, construction, and close-out.

Qualifications:

• Current Metro-Boston, USA applicants only, please.
• MAC OS operating environment.
• Strong communication skills and a sense of humor.
• Octopus-like abilities tracking and advancing multiple projects.
• Vectorworks CADD and Mac OS experience preferred.
• Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Minimum five years experience including commercial project management experience.
• Working knowledge of contract documents with QA.
• Attention to project-coordination details a must.
• Architectural detailing and custom design construction experience.
• Sketchup 3-D modeling is a priority.
• Project Managers must be able to share ideas and take direction from senior staff as well as work independently as needed.
