Reverse Architecture is a boutique studio focused on innovative & sustainable design. Our primary area of practice is living spaces: modern custom homes and additions, residential interiors, public housing and multifamily housing. We also work on select small commercial projects in various sectors. All of our projects embrace a “total design” approach and require close attention to every detail. We are seeking candidates for a junior architect / designer position. Applicants should have a professional degree in architecture and 1-3 years of experience. A master’s degree is preferred. A successful candidate should have:

• Excellent design skills.
• Interest in learning about all aspects of architectural practice.
• Eagerness to think through architectural details to produce solutions that are both original and practical.
• Strong interest in sustainable design, particularly the techniques espoused by Passive House Institute US.
• experience with all aspects of contract administration and willingness to conduct site visits.
• Versatile computer skills with ability to work in AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and other software as demanded by the project.
• Excellent organizational and communications skills.
• Fearlessness in asking questions and eagerness to learn on the job.
• Willingness to do the “dirty work” of surveying and documenting existing buildings and construction sites.
• Ability to work well with a team and also independently.
• A positive attitude.

Our studio is located in Watertown near the border of Cambridge with good transit options. Applicants should be independent thinkers seeking a non-corporate work environment. Our office culture is casual, congenial, and friendly. We welcome and embrace the insights and creative contributions of our team members. Reverse Architecture is currently working in person and not considering candidates for remote work.

This is a full-time salaried position, salary commensurate with experience.
