APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Interior Design or Architecture school preferred.

1 – 3 years of professional Interior Design experience.

Responsibilities:

As an Interior Design Assistant at EMBARC, you will:

  • Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative design concepts.
  • Support senior designers in selecting fixtures and finishes.
  • Assist in developing preliminary space plans under supervision.
  • Learn and contribute to detailing processes.
  • Help produce furniture and finish packages, including cost estimation.
  • Aid in verifying site details to inform the design process.
  • Assist in field surveying of client spaces.
  • Correct drawings based on feedback from senior team members.
  • Support the team in collecting client assessment data, attending interviews, and providing documentation support.
  • Management and inventory of the materials library.
  • Coordinating lunch and learns and vendor visits.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask on several projects on a weekly basis.
  • Working knowledge of color theory, materials, and aesthetic principles.
  • Familiarity with space planning methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of furnishings and equipment.
  • Proficiency in basic sketching and rendering.
  • Fundamental interior architecture detailing skills.
  • Understanding of construction documents and procedures.
  • Commitment to supporting projects through various stages.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite.
