Event Description

Chana Haouzi and Matthew Okazaki of Architecture for Public Benefit (APB) will join the Placemaking Network for a presentation of their work and approach to creating place- and community-based design.

Architecture for Public Benefit is a mission-driven architecture practice committed to improving the lives of all through design. Based in Boston and Chicago, APB's local projects include community and place focused collaborations with the Boston Public Library, Youthbuild Boston, and Aaron's Presents.

"Design is everywhere from the home we live in, the seat we work at, and in the ways and places we gather. Our practice is dedicated to solving the unique challenges of communities and nonprofits through a creative and collaborative approach. Each relationship is based on communication, trust, and transparency and a belief that architecture should be approachable, beautiful, and for everyone."
