Join us on October 24 at 6pm at the BSA for a discussion led by Moskow Linn Architects partner Keith Moskow FAIA.

Keith Moskow FAIA will discuss his projects to revitalize Newburyport’s urban core working in tandem with development/construction partner David Hall and architecture partner, Robert Linn AIA.

Keith will focus on their Hillside Center for Sustainable Living. The 48-unit net-positive housing project is designed to exceed Passive House and Leed Platinum standards. Constructed with custom designed hempcrete wall panels built on site, the project includes apartments, common house, community barn, greenhouse, individual growing areas and a ten-unit SRO YWCA. Three acres of the four and half acre site is designed to be an edible landscape. Solar power generated on site exceeds all the energy needs for the homes and electric vehicles.

The development is a fully integrated model. Hall and Moskow are not only the project developers, but also the architects, builders, and long-term owners.

Each month, the “Conversations in Architecture” (CiA) series presents an in-person discussion of real-world challenges in the built environment to advance the knowledge and expertise of the entire membership community and better serve our clients. Moskow Linn Architects partner Keith Moskow FAIA will lead the October edition of Conversations in Architecture.
