Design for Aging: Staying Home. Staying Independent.

Join the DFA committee around a discussion of the Home, as a place to age well with services. We will welcome representatives of Kendal at Home, to discuss a new program available for older adults in Massachusetts designed to help members maintain an independent lifestyle in their homes as they explore their post-retirement ‘second acts’ with the assurance that as they age, their care needs will be provided. Kendal at Home services include navigating, coordinating and paying for long-term care, if and when it’s needed, directly to members in wherever they call home.

Jackie Dobson, residential access design specialist and Certified Living In Place Professional will join Kendal at Home in discussion of how to implement some physical solutions to retrofit one’s home to develop easy-living environments and maintain independence.
