This month, we will hear about the on-the-ground work happening by Bangladeshi architects, activists, and national NGOs who are working to redefine the humanitarian response in Bangladesh’s Rohingya community. John Wagner and Nadyeli Quiroz will present their research on if/how design processes, working within scales of the interpersonal, urban and ecological, can increase refugee communities' resilience and agency. Their design research was supported by Harvard GSD fellowships during their time as students. With many questions on how design practice can evolve and adapt to these conditions, the conversation to follow is not to be missed. Join us!
