Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Architect to join our team. The Senior Architect will lead a team of designers and other consultants in the oversight, design, planning, coordination, and successful completion of construction documents. The role demands a proactive individual who has strong leadership and managerial qualities, excellent communication and organizational skills, excels in spatial awareness, and has a keen eye for design and detail. This position involves extensive coordination with various trades and a deep understanding of not only architecture but construction processes, especially in high-end multifamily and mixed-use projects.

The ideal candidate will be licensed in Massachusetts, hold NCARB certification, and have extensive experience overseeing large-scale projects, specifically the adaptive reuse of buildings into residential or mixed-use complexes over 100,000 square feet. Our projects focus on the redevelopment of historic buildings, and the ideal candidate understands the relevant requirements and has experience working with the State Historic Preservation Office and National Park Service.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a team of drafters and other professionals.

  • Lead the architectural design process from concept to completion.

  • Stamp and ensure the quality and compliance of all architectural drawings.

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success.

  • Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Manage project budgets and schedules.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.



Qualifications:

  • Licensed Architect in Massachusetts.

  • NCARB certification.

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in architecture.

  • Proven experience with large-scale, adaptive reuse projects over 100,000 square feet.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.

  • Keen eye for design, detail-oriented, and able to visualize the end product.

  • Proficient in CAD, Revit, BlueBeam, project management software, coordination tools, and other relevant software.

  • LEED certified.



What we Offer:

  • A full-time position with a competitive salary of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
