Design Visualization
The Design Visualization knowledge community consists of AEC professionals, artists, technologists, and students committed to learning new things and sharing best practices to motivate and inspire each other. We understand that visual representation plays a key role in fostering trust between designers and clients. Furthermore, the design process—driven by collaboration among multiple stakeholders—thrives on continuous idea exchange. This iterative process enables the exploration of concepts, the synthesis of information, and ensures a responsible approach to shaping our built environment. Design visualization is both a noun and a verb. Perhaps a more suitable name for our group should be "Visualizing Design"?
Join us in-person and online as we discuss each other's work, explore interesting topics, and host workshops. We'll consider visualization through the lens of art, cognition, technology, and storytelling. We'll explore and discuss the effectiveness of concept diagramming and different workflows such as photo-realistic rendered images, Generative AI, interactive game engines, animation, data visualization and virtually immersive Mixed Reality to name a few. We hand-sketch also.
